Best House wins two weeks of Adventure Camp. Three more awards win camp days.

The Candy Trail is getting houses. At Track-or-Treat 2027, the trick-or-treat stops are Haunted Family Houses: 6 × 8 ft plots that Trackers families build, theme, and run, like stalls in an antique mall, only spookier. Kids wander from house to house collecting candy, and every house is trying to be the one they talk about on the way home.

Teams can join their houses into Neighborhoods, and local businesses set up Curio Shops along Goblin Alley. Everything else stays: pumpkin archery, zombie axe throwing, the Goblin Market, and Goth Got Talent at the Gothic Campfire.

Need an Idea?

Steal one, mash two together, or ignore all of them. The best houses tell one small story a kid can take in while they grab their candy.

Two kids in clown and witch costumes at Track-or-Treat

🧙 The Swamp Witch's Hut

Moss, cattails, jars of pickled eyeballs, and a bubbling cauldron. The witch trades candy for the answer to a riddle.

💀 The Bone Collector's Cabin

Antlers, skulls, and labeled specimen drawers. Guess which animal left the bone and the collector pays you in candy.

🧪 The Haunted Apothecary

Shelves of potions with handwritten labels, dried herbs, and a hooded shopkeeper who weighs out candy on an old scale.

🐺 The Werewolf Den

Claw marks, a fur-lined lair, and a pack that only hands over candy after you give them your best howl.

Two teens with mushrooms they foraged

🍄 Mushroom Hollow

Felted and paper mushrooms glowing under cloth, a tiny gnome village, and a gnome family that keeps the candy in acorn caps.

🧟 The Last Outpost

A scrap-built shelter at the edge of the zombie lanes. Prove to the survivor inside that you're not infected and earn your rations.

🏹 A Haunted Guild Hall

Pick a guild and haunt it: a Rangers ghost outpost, a Mariners shipwreck, a Wilders burrow, or an Artisans cursed forge.

🎃 The Pumpkin Graveyard

Cardboard headstones with terrible puns, jack-o'-lanterns lit with battery candles, and a groundskeeper who knows every grave.

Your 6 × 8, and Your Neighbors

Every House and Curio Shop gets the same plot. What you do inside it is up to you.

Same Size for Everyone Each House and Curio Shop gets one plot, 8 ft wide along the trail and 6 ft deep. Everything you build, hang, or place stays inside it, including costumed people.

Build Up, Not Out Height is where houses win. Anything taller than 6 ft has to stand and stay up on its own.

Power Goes Fast Outlets are limited and assigned in sign-up order. Battery lights work anywhere.

🏘️ Neighborhoods

Team Up Two or more Houses can join into a Neighborhood with one shared theme and build right across the walls between their plots.

Win Twice A Neighborhood competes for Best Neighborhood, and each House in it can still win a House award.

Keep It Walkable Leave a clear path through and around your Neighborhood so the trail keeps moving.

The Prizes 🏆

Trackers staff judge every award except Kids' Choice, which the kids vote on at the end of the trail. Winners are announced at the Gothic Campfire.

👻 Spookiest

Two camp days

The best chills on the trail, while still right for a nervous five-year-old.

🏘️ Best Neighborhood

Prize from a local business

For two or more Houses that build one world together. Presented by a Goblin Alley shop.

Camp days are single days of Winter Break or Spring Break camp. Each House can win one award. Curio Shops are not judged.

Goblin Alley

The Curio Shops of Goblin Alley are four plots for local businesses, right on the trail. Decorate as hard as any House and meet more than 150 Trackers kids and their grown-ups in one afternoon.

🧪 What Your Shop Gets

Your Name on the Alley One sign with your business name and logo, up to 2 × 3 ft.

Something to Hand Out Branded treats or coupons alongside your candy.

A Campfire Shout-Out We thank every Goblin Alley shop by name at the Gothic Campfire.

📜 How It Works

Same Plot, Same Rules A Curio Shop is a 6 × 8 ft plot and follows every House rule for building, safety, scare level, and treats.

No Selling No sales, sign-ups, or sales flyers at the shop. This is a haunt, not a booth.

Not Judged Curio Shops don't compete for prizes. A shop can present the Best Neighborhood prize.
