Leadership Skills
Leaders-in-Training (LITs) step up as student leaders within Trackers, guided by our top mentors. They can choose a focus they love—arts and crafts, outdoor wilderness skills, role-playing games, sports and many many more—as they inspire younger campers and gain hands-on leadership experience. Helping others is the best way to sharpen their skills and prepare to be future mentors.
Expectations
LITs play a crucial role in inspiring and connecting with younger campers in supervised settings. They should be kind, thoughtful, and follow our code of care. Our LIT program is about fostering leadership skills—stepping up into this role is key. Campers who are ready and able to meet expectations will succeed in the program and progress into new LIT opportunities. If it’s not a good fit, participation will be reassessed to ensure a positive experience for all.
Please Note: LIT tuition is heavily discounted. Depending on the grade level and program, tuition is usually two-thirds to one-quarter of regular camp tuition.
