What We Teach
These classes teach the foundations of blacksmithing. Covering the principles of tool use, shop safety, craftsmanship, proper form, art, and design. Blacksmithing basics is also an excellent primer to begin developing longer-term blacksmithing and metal craft skills while working with our expert Blacksmiths.

There is no prerequisite. Please carefully review our class options below.
- Blacksmith Basic: Adult single evening weekday or weekend class. Times vary, please see registration options below for current availability.
- Family Forge: Single weekend class, registration includes 1 adult + 1 youth (Grade 5 & up) sharing an anvil. Youth must be accompanied adults.

This class takes place at our private indoor blacksmithing shop called the Annex. This state-of-the-art facility is one of the largest teaching blacksmithing shops in Oregon. All materials, forge time, and instruction is provided.
Interested in a long-term program? Check out our 8-month Blacksmithing Immersion! From September to April, intensively train in a learning community during monthly weekends. Late enrollments welcomed.
