Tales of the Oregon Trail: Winter Pioneers
What was it like to be an Oregon pioneer in winter? How did families work together, what hardships did they endure and how did they celebrate their holidays?
Join Trackers for an exploration of history and adventure as we discover what live was like in the Oregon Territory. Mixing readings from pioneer diaries with hands on projects such as safe whittling, outdoor cooking, quilting and cross-stitching, we begin to recreate a winter day from our past.
We look at both the life of the pioneer and the First Peoples of this area, building a deft understanding ofthe changes this land has endured.
All this plus we offer plenty of down home fun and good times: from old fashioned music to playing old school pioneers games.
Thanksgiving Break Bonus Camp November 21 The Blacksmith Shop is offering classes.
