The Tribe: High School Village

Come together for 7 days to form a tribe in the middle of the wilderness. Learn and truly apply ancient survival and bushcraft skills. We cover lighting matchless fires, making your own bows and arrows, creating your own clothing and shelter and much more.

Our food is prepared and cooked from scratch and from the wild. The day to day schedule of this camp evolves by teaching and practicing key team leadership skills of peer collaboration. We foster a culture of care where students learn through self-direction and family support.

The Tribe Camp (Ages 13-15)

The Tribe Camp is for ages 12-15. They start out camping in tents with options to sleep in primitive, handmade shelters. Students build a foundation of wildlfie tracking, primitive skills, wild edible plants, bird language and more.

The Edge Camp (Ages 16-19)

The Edge Camp is for older teens. This is where we walk the edge of learning and experience. Students begin with tied tarps and sleeping bags as shelter and to quickly transition to handmade shelter. This is still not a "push survival course". We work with each indidviduals comfort level. All the skills we learn are not "primitive" but actually complex fine crafts such as bowmaking, baskets and wild edible plants. We also cover wildlife tracking, collaborative leadership, bird language and much more. No experience required, only a willingness for adventure.

Optional shuttle service from Portland Airport or Bend, Oregon is available for an additional charge (see below). To connect with the airport shuttle service, students' flights to have a limited arrival and departure times. Contact us to learn more and before booking flights.
