Portland The Guild: Skills of Rangers and Elves

The Tor of AvalonWhat do we yearn for when we read a tome of epic adventure. Of fantastical stories and incredible feats. The skills we often dream about or closer to our reach then we know.

Train fire a bow by steady arm and keen aim. Learn to travel with ease through the wilds with only the clothes on your back. Walk silently and invisibly through the forest, navigating by the sun and stars. Craft your own clothing and express a legacy through your artistry. Read the subtle signs of nature, honing your intuition and awareness of the world around you. And experience the power of story to remake how we understand the world.

Art and eloquence shape the roots of this program. Song and poetry naturally weave their why to account for the hero's journey. Each day we see the world through the archetypes of oral tradition. We experience the value of myth and legend to inspire people to great acts of caring and compassion.

We form a fellowship, a guild to find our way through story reflecting the real challenges of our life and times. There are no dice to guide our way. Only our spirit for adventure and desire to rediscover a world of honor and hope.

Plus, ages 11-14 includes an Adventure Overnight at the Trackers Cabin nestled on a private 200 acre wildlife refuge of epic forests. Campers get the true experience of being out of doors with the guidance of our instructors and the safety of a private camp.

Fall Session Every Thursday for 9 weeks. A total of 9 days.

September 5, 2009 Come to our Cabin Open House and learn more about this program other TrackersNW After School and Home School programs. While there is no charge for this day, we suggest a donation if you can give it. RSVP is required.
