Your Instructor
Tom, otherwise known as “T3”, has been a practitioner and teacher of primitive technology, tracking and nature observation since he has been able to walk. Trained from birth by his father, Tom Brown Jr., Tom is considered to be one of the foremost instructors of primitive technology and primitive wilderness survival on the planet. For several years he spent time wandering the United States practicing the arts of primitive living throughout many different wilderness areas.
Upon returning to his father's famous survival school in 2003 he educated thousands of students from all over the world until his leaving the school in late 2009. Tommy has now combined his naturalist and life experiences by starting his own school in Cincinnati, Ohio know as the Primitive Arts Collective, while also traveling abroad, to continue educating people in the ways of our ancestors and passing down the skills that were at the forefront of their lives.
Always approaching life with an empty cup and learning anything new is one of his true passions in life. Tom believes that everyone is his teacher and approaches new situations with the utmost enthusiasm and passion - never taking anything for granted. His close friends say that he is not happy just living life, he must immerse himself in it. Along with primitive survival skills and nature observation, Tommy is also an avid Fly-fisherman and Hunter, and is an accomplished archer and marksman and expert at throwing weapons. He is also a talented photographer, capturing nature from his own unique perspective. Tommy’s motto in life... “If you love life, It will love you back!!”
