Family Bushcraft Basics

In the UK they call it "bushcraft". In the US we call it "wilderness survival skills", or "primitive skills". We like the term bushcraft though, because it really sums it up: the craft of the bush, the skills that folks have used since our earliest ancestors, to live comfortably in the forests.

In the spirit of family, we at Trackers invite families and individuals to attend this workshop to discover the fun of bushcraft. Learn how to build shelters from branches and debris that are great fun for kids but also effective methods of surviving harsh weather in a pinch. Discover the magic of creating fire from rubbing two sticks together like the old timers talk about. Discuss the best ways to not get lost and how to get found if you do. Learn lessons on fire safety and knife handling skills. All of this and much more in one exciting weekend for kids and adults.

Rules Kids under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
