Your Kids Raised by Wolves
28th
May

It's time to be honest about wilderness schools. Today I'm going to out TrackersNW and our ilk. We're not simply here to show your kids a fun or educational time outside. Curing Nature Deficit Disorder is only scratching the surface.

It goes deeper. We're here to help your kids learn wilder ways, plain and simple. Whether we look like "teachers" or “professionals” or not, the reality is, hunter-gatherers hold council at our core.

Many people don't seem to understand what Wild actually means. In every Grimm fairy tale the wolf is considered a lone, horrible beast. In our experience tracking wolves, they bring an incredible fidelity to their family. They're vital to helping the cycle of life flourish. The same applies to your child. They will learn to feed upon, take shelter in, and thrive through a connection with the wilder world - while your family, your pack, becomes the foundation for that relationship.

Really stop and consider all this before you sign up for one of the programs that teach nature awareness, wilderness survival and tracking. They are a rabbit hole to Wonderland where a wolf family waits at the other end.
